On a Staff Presence station (model 6834), a nurse or aide presses the NURSE or AIDE button to register in or out of a room. The corridor dome light then illuminates steady green for a registered nurse or steady amber for a registered aide — nurse presence takes precedence over aide presence if both are registered. The Nurse Console also shows which role is registered in that room, and the indicator clears when the button is pressed again on exit.

Can Staff Presence calls be forwarded?

Yes. When Call Forwarding is activated at the Nurse Console, rooms with registered staff sound call‑in tones for incoming calls. Registered staff can also place staff emergency calls directly from patient callcords or pillow speakers in the room they're registered in.

How does Jeron software licensing work (softkey vs. HASP key)?

Since January 2019, LAN‑based Provider 680 and 790 software (EIS reporting, RTLS, staff assignment, SIP integration, and similar models) uses softkey licensing rather than a physical USB HASP key — Provider 700 has always used softkey licensing. As of January 1, 2023, Jeron no longer supports software updates for systems still running on a HASP key (existing software keeps running, but can't be updated); a HASP‑to‑softkey conversion is available as model 9992. This licensing change doesn't affect firmware in Gateways, Consoles, or Room Controllers.
