What we actually check at the assessment
Building construction — plaster and wire lath, precast concrete, and metal stud all change RF behavior. We do an RF survey before recommending wireless.
Census and acuity mix — high-acuity units with dense call volume lean wired; lower-acuity wings and memory care lean wireless with RTLS wander management.
Your cabling plant — if an existing system's cabling is sound, a wired head-end swap can reuse it and cut project cost materially.
Survey documentation — both platforms produce response-time reporting; we configure it for your survey binder either way.
What it costs
We don't publish list prices because neither platform is sold off a price list — cost depends on bed count, coverage areas, integrations, and how much existing infrastructure can be reused.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is wireless nurse call as reliable as wired?
Yes, when it's engineered properly. RCare's supervised RF protocol reports device health continuously, and UL 1069 listing applies to the wireless platform the same as wired. The real requirement is a proper RF design for your building — which is why we survey first.
Can we mix Jeron wired and RCare wireless?
Yes — hybrid designs are common: wired Jeron in nursing units, RCare pendants and door/wander devices layered across the community. Nexus designs and supports both under one agreement.
Who services the system after install?
Nexus does — same team, Schaumburg-based, under the same contract. That's the point of buying both platforms from one Illinois partner.
