3. Core Human Rights Principles

3.1 Dignity and Respect

Every individual who works with or for Nexus is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect. Harassment, intimidation, humiliation, or any other conduct that demeans a person's dignity will not be tolerated.

3.2 Freedom from Forced or Compulsory Labor

Nexus prohibits all forms of forced, compulsory, bonded, trafficked, or otherwise involuntary labor. Employment relationships are voluntary, and workers are free to leave upon proper notice without penalty or restriction of their personal freedom.

3.3 Prohibition of Child Labor

Nexus does not employ, engage, or knowingly contract with any individual under the minimum working age established by applicable federal, state, or local law. We will not use child labor under any circumstances.

3.4 Freedom of Association

Nexus respects the rights of workers to organize, join trade unions or labor organizations, and engage in collective bargaining as permitted by applicable law. Workers will not face retaliation or discrimination for exercising these rights.

3.5 Safe and Healthy Working Conditions

All workers are entitled to a safe, healthy, and hazard-free work environment. Nexus complies with all applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and maintains active safety programs on all project sites.

3.6 Privacy and Data Rights

Nexus respects individuals' rights to privacy. We collect, store, and process personal information only as necessary and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not sell personal employee data to third parties.

4. Supply Chain Responsibility

We expect our suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to share our commitment to human rights. Nexus requires that all supply chain partners:

  • Comply with applicable labor and employment laws
  • Refrain from using forced, bonded, or child labor
  • Provide safe working conditions
  • Treat workers with dignity and without discrimination

Nexus reserves the right to terminate relationships with any partner found to be in material violation of these principles.
