MANAGED ICT / PLAN COMPARISON
Choose the right level of support for your network.
Keep a clear division of responsibility, hand off routine management, or coordinate a portfolio. Compare network and network security options side by side.
Managed network plans
Compare the proposed management scope for UniFi gateways, switching, and Wi-Fi. Hardware and capacity are sized to the site, not an unlimited-device promise.
Proposed scope in every column. On smaller screens, scroll horizontally to compare all tiers.
| Compare your options Choose the management scope that fits your team. | Essentials Maintain the foundation | Operations Reduce the management burden | Portfolio Coordinate across locations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best fit | A defined environment with an internal owner for day-to-day decisions. | An active facility that needs ongoing tuning and coordinated changes. | Multiple sites that need consistent standards and central accountability. |
| Primary outcome | Keep the agreed network maintained | Keep performance aligned with daily operations | Keep locations aligned to one network standard |
| Managed scope | Named gateway, switches, and access points | Named devices plus agreed network change workflows | Named devices and workflows across listed sites |
| Device health & configuration | Health alerts, configuration records, and planned firmware maintenance | Essentials scope plus recurring performance review | Operations scope plus cross-site configuration standards |
| Wi-Fi & traffic tuning | Baseline settings; optimization scoped separately | Recurring tuning of agreed wireless and traffic policies | Site-specific tuning with portfolio-wide policy alignment |
| Network changes | Routine maintenance; new requirements separately scoped | An agreed allowance for routine configuration changes | An agreed change allowance with coordinated site rollouts |
| Continuity planning | Document existing connectivity and dependencies | Review failover options and recovery procedures | Coordinate recovery plans and validation across sites |
| Reporting & planning | Device inventory and maintenance summary | Service review with performance and capacity actions | Consolidated reporting and lifecycle roadmap |
| Customer responsibility | Own business decisions and request additional changes | Approve priorities and planned maintenance windows | Assign a central sponsor and local site contacts |
| Pricing & service levels | Custom quote after assessment. Support hours, response targets, and allowances require agreement. | Custom quote after assessment. Managed network security plans
Compare the proposed management of network controls, not a promise to prevent every attack. These options do not include physical security, a security operations center, or endpoint protection by default.

What must be confirmed before you choose
These comparisons are planning guidance, not a quote or service-level agreement. A site assessment and approved written scope determine the actual service.
- Coverage & limits
- The proposal must list covered sites, devices, platforms, maintenance tasks, and change allowances. No tier implies unlimited work or capacity.
- Support & escalation
- Support hours, severity definitions, response targets, on-site availability, and escalation contacts require written agreement. Monitoring is not a guaranteed resolution time.
- Hardware & replacement
- Ownership, warranty handling, spare equipment, replacement labor, shipping, and end-of-life refresh must be separately specified; replacement hardware is not assumed included.
- Pricing & payment
- Onboarding and installation are separate from recurring management. Equipment, licenses, carrier charges, payment timing, and any deposits must be itemized in the quote.
- Term & renewal
- Initial term, renewal, notice periods, cancellation, annual price adjustments, and transition assistance require approval in the service agreement.
- Dependencies & exclusions
- Customer power, internet, authorized access, site contacts, and maintenance approvals are required. New cabling, construction, carrier service, endpoint security, incident forensics, and compliance certification are outside these proposed scopes unless expressly added.
