Quick Answer

How do you plan managed ICT?

The short answer

Start with an inventory of sites, network equipment, connected systems, carrier services, and existing contracts. Document outages and operational priorities, then define the coverage and response each location needs. Price any remediation separately from recurring service, agree on acceptance tests, and establish a controlled handover into monitoring and support.

Establish the support baseline

Record equipment age, configuration access, internet dependencies, Wi-Fi complaints, documentation gaps, and vendor support status. Include the clinical, security, voice, or building systems that depend on the network. This shows what can enter managed service immediately and what needs corrective work first.

Agree on the transition plan

  • Assign customer, Nexus, carrier, and third-party support responsibilities
  • Set support hours and incident priorities around actual business operations
  • Schedule corrective work and acceptance testing before service handover
  • Document administrative access, configuration backups, assets, and escalation contacts
  • Review the first service reports against the agreed baseline
